If you have decided to travel to Havana, but one to escape for a day to a wild Cuba beach, Cayo Jutia could be a great choice.

Cayo Jutia is one of the small Las Coloradas archipelago islets in the north of Pinar del Rio, in the west of Cuba and one of the few places where you can still be in contact with nature, away from the crowds

The beautiful landscape, fine white sand and clear water make Cayo Jutia beach unique. A rich flora and fauna, which include various species of endemic birds and a more than 100 year lighthouse, are just some of Cayo Jutia attractions.

You can access the cay through a causeway that connects it to the main island. Come early, access to the cay is only from about 8:30 in the morning to around 5 pm. Cayo Jutia is about 150 km from Viñales, so it would be a good idea to combine this Cuba eco destination with an unforgettable escape to the beach.
