Havana, Varadero, Cayo Santa Maria, Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo, Holguin, Baracoa
I would virtually divide the island into regions to give you a better picture of all the many handy options available when you travel to Cuba on holidays. Although it is difficult to say what the best Cuba Destination is. I'll try to mention the better known and important ones, so you could decide which fits your Cuba Vacation expectations.

Some of the top tourist destinations in Cuba are in the west of of the island, in a province called Pinar del Rio. It is a region that stands out for its beautiful green landscapes, though there are also some amazing wild beaches in the extreme west of this province. I really love this part of Cuba, especially when I feel stressed and need to relax. Maria la Gorda, Cayo Levisa, Viñales, Soroa and Las Terrazas are some of the top holiday destinations in Pinar del Rio.
When talking about destinations in Cuba Havana City, the capital of the island and still the capital of Havana province, is at the top.

Havana is mainly a cultural destination. It is the place that sets the rhythm of the island. It is where the most important festivals, cultural and scientific events take place. Its beautiful architecture, friendly people and bohemian atmosphere make it special not only for tourists, but also for people who were born or grew up in the city. Walking along Malecon, feeling the breeze on you face and enjoying the shades of the ocean is an experience that will stay with you forever.
You could combine your Havana holidays with an escape to the beach. There are some nice beaches in the east of Havana City, not so far from the downtown area, I really love some of them, especially Santa Maria, El Megano and Boca Ciega, but Havana is not a beach destination. There are also some nice beaches in Havana province, in an area not so far from Havana City, though I would say that these are Cuba beach destinations that could better be combined with a visit to the capital city.

If you are a beach person and you are looking for an exceptional Cuba beach holiday, not so far from Havana City, the world known Varadero, in Matanzas, is definitely the place for you. Its fine, 20 km long, white sandy beach and its clear turquoise water make it one of the top Cuba beach holiday destinations. Apart from the amazing beach, there is a lot more to enjoy in Varadero though. Excellent diving spots, beautiful green nature and amazing caves are just some of Varadero attractions.
There are also some interesting places to visit in Cuba going south of the center part of the island,. The Cienaga de Zapata is an important ecological reservoir. It is also an ideal scuba diving destination. If you are around this area and you are a diving fan, dont miss La Cueva de los Peces, the largest flooded tectonic cave in Cuba.

Off the South coast of Cuba, in the Canarreos Archipelago, two islands call tourist attention on their Cuba travels: Isla de Pinos, the second largest island in Cuba and Cayo Largo, the ideal place for a perfect Cuba beach holiday if you have planned to visit some of the top tourist Cuba destinations on your Cuba vacations.

The North of Villa Clara is also an important beach tourist destination in Cuba. Cayo Santa Maria, Las Brujas and Cayo Ensenachos are all ideal for a perfect beach holiday.
Two other tourist destinations in Cuba are Trinidad and Cienfuegos, a bit further, but still on the South coast. These are two World Heritage Cuba cities that are worth to be visited because they are part of Cubas architectural, historical and natural treasure. There is also a nice beach in the outskirts of Trinidad, Playa Ancon.

More about Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo
Jardines del Rey, North from Ciego de Avila, is another top Cuba beach destination. It includes Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo, the beaches there are just spectacular.
Camaguey is also an interesting place to visit if you are planning to travel to Cuba on your holidays. Its well preserved colonial architecture calls tourists attention. In the North of Camaguey, Cayo Sabinal and Santa Lucia Beach are some of the best beaches in Cuba.
If you are looking for Cuba wild, almost virgin, beaches, not exactly tourist destinations, you should go to Puerto Padre, in the North of Las Tunas province. Puerto Padre excellent, not exploited by tourism beaches are unique. The North of Holguin, Guardalavaca, is popular for having some of the best beaches in Cuba.
Going down to Baracoa, another top Cuba holiday destination, you will find some of the most beautiful landscapes in the East of Cuba. Baracoa was the first village founded in the island. This is a place for those who enjoy hiking, though there are also some nice beaches in Baracoa.
Bordering the South coast, you get to Santiago de Cuba, the second top city in Cuba and one of the most popular Cuba holiday destinations among those who prefer city life. Santiagos culture and nature make it a place you cant miss when you decide to explore the East of the country on your Cuba All Inclusive Vacations. Not so far from Santiago, two small towns, Bayamo and Manzanillo, welcome visitors who travel to Cuba looking for Cuba nature, history and culture.
