Cuba Libre Recipe

The Cuba Libre, which means Free Cuba, is a Cuban cocktail. I have asked Cubans why this name, but nobody has really been able to answer to my question. What is true is that it is not something new. Cuba Libre recipe dates from the beginning of the XX century and it first appeared in Havana.  It is a very refreshing mix of coke, rum and lime juice.

• 1-1/2 ounce of white or aged rum

• Half a lime juice

• Ice

• Coke

Preparation:

Put some ice in a highball glass, add the rum, the lime juice and fill with coke. Stir and serve with a lime wedge. You can add more rum to taste
