Cuba National Holidays

Catholic religion is widely spread in Cuba. It is considered that Cuba has always been a Catholic country, mainly because of the Spanish influence in the island.

When you travel to Cuba, it is useful to have some Cuba national holiday information. Generally, restaurants, clubs and cabarets remain open on most Cuba holidays, but not stores.

Most Cubans don’t work on holidays. You might find that you have to change your plans. Here is a list of main Cuba holidays.

• January 1 – Day of Revolution Triumph (from December 31 to January 2)

• May 1 – Labor Day

• July 26 – National Rebelliousness Day (from July 25 to July 27)

• October 10 – Anniversary of the 10 year war (1868)

• December 25 – Christmas Day
