Cuba Tipping

When you travel to Cuba you will realize that there are now some restaurants, mainly in Havana, that include tips in the bills.It is generally 10%. If so, it is said in the menu. If not, it is up to you whether you tip or not.

However, salaries in Cuba are quite low, so most waiters, taxi drivers and others make their living with the tips; they expect you to do it and they really appreciate it.

You will see some kids asking tourists for gifts or money. There is no need for children to beg in Cuba

They all go to school and have something to eat. There are no "street kids" in Cuba.

. I prefer bringing presents and giving them to my friends so they could later deliver them among children they know. This way I don’t help children to get used to it.
