At first, it looks like a place taken from a story tale, but you will immediately realize that the cobblestone streets, the elaborate wrought-iron grills, the wooden window shutters, the decorated tile floors and the antique furniture in the houses are not part of a set. This amazing Cuba destination was one of the "Villas" founded by the Spanish Conqueror Diego Velázquez. It was founded in 1514 and still now Trinidad looks like it had been frozen in time. The centre of the old town is the Plaza Mayor, a fabulous square with a cobbled courtyard, tiled walkways and white-painted wrought ironwork. It is a perfect place to begin your walking tour around the old part of the city. The square is surrounded by beautiful houses, mansions, and palaces, most of which host incredible museums. 
A church will call your attention, the Iglesia Parroquial de la Santisima Trinidad.
Another place you can’t miss in Trinidad, Cuba, is the Palacio Brunet, an amazing colonial mansion. The Museo Romantico will give you an idea of life in Spanish colonial times. The Museum of Colonial Architecture and The Municipal Museum are other places to visit. Don’t be afraid of walking in through the doorways and enjoy the courtyards that could surprise you with a small restaurant, a museum, a nice accommodation or a craft shop. Go by the former convent of San Francisco de Asis, you have probably seen its tower on many Trinidad photos. A visit to the Valley of the Sugar Mills will not only be a chance to learn about the history of Cuba's sugar trade industry and slavery, you will also be amazed with the views of the surroundings.
Go to Manaca Iznaga hacienda, climb the tower, admire the view and then have a delicious lunch at the hacienda’s restaurant.
